- Dr Mark Lipzker is qualified to perform diving medicals. The cost is $280.00 and not able to be claimed through Medicare or private health funds.
- Please note that we are unable to provide recreational DIVE medicals at this time.
- The underwater environment presents unique physiological stresses to the body which can be exacerbated if the diver has certain pre-existing medical conditions. For this reason, before undertaking a SCUBA diving course in Australia, you are required to present a valid Australian Standard 4005.1 Recreational SCUBA Diving Medical Certificate. At Carnegie Medical Centre Dr Lipzker has been carrying out diving medicals for over 20 years.
- The diving medical will take 30 to 40 minutes and it is highly recommended you book in advance. A detailed medical questionnaire must be completed prior to consultation – see below to download the questionnaire. If you have any further questions email us or visit spums.org.au.
